DR. PAUL DONAHUE Syndicated Health Columnist
Dear Dr. Donohue: Why in hell don't you tell people that the first
think to do when they have hip pain is to take the wallets out of
their back pockets and keep them out? My pain stopped years ago
when I started carrying my wallet in my front shirt pocket. --B.J.
Dear B.J.: I couldn't have said it half as well, half as colorfully or
half as forcefully as you. Readers, heed a man with common sense.
MEN'S HEALTH MAGAZINE
September 2004
A man should own as many leather objects as possible. Here s the scoop:
· Higher- Quality leather is softer
· Beware of the plasticky feel. It might indicate split leather
from the hides bottom. Top Grain is as good as it gets.
· The color should be even and the color of the stitching a close match
· Edit your wallet-Not! Don t grapple your butt for a ratty,
overstuffed wallet.
· We like brown leather. It reeks class, which we are trying to fake!
CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, Health Section July 8, 1998 Move It or Clip It
Don't store a wallet in a back pocket when wearing tight jeans or
pants. Doctors have found that the pressure of a wallet directly on
the sciatic nerve can send pains shooting through the buttocks and
down the leg. Do move your wallet out of rear pockets when
wearing tight pants. Use a money clip or different pocket.
Avoid tight-fitting clothes.
2000 NORTH AMERICA SYNDICATE, INC. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000
Carry a wallet in the back pocket of tight jeans or pants. Constant
pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause low back pain.
Occasionally we receive a return, not often but occasionally.

"It's a nice product with a good look, it's just not right for everybody. I
